General Warranty Terms

All Products sold must comply with their description and must be of merchantable quality and fit for their purpose or correspond with any sample. All SEIKO Precision Products are sold with a 12 month Return to Dealer Warranty from the date of purchase by the end user of the product.
All claims under the Warranty MUST be supported by evidence of purchase, normally the Invoice, and it is the responsibility of the claimer to provide such proof. Claims are to be made by the user returning the product to the point of purchase. In the event of any difficulty, please contact the Service Manager at AVD Computer Services Ltd.
The Warranty covers the cost of both parts and labour required to correct any malfunction of the product, but specifically excludes consumables, physical damage, software configuration, wear and tear, incorrect use or misuse or faulty operation due to unauthorised repair.
The Warranty is restricted to the product alone, and AVD Computer Services Ltd do not accept liability for any consequential loss or damage, nor claimed or implied performance, where the product is used with other program software or equipment.
This Warranty may be invalidated as a result of excessive or inappropriate use, use in an adverse environment or conditions outside the specifications of the product, or where the product has had unapproved modifications.
AVD Computer Services will not be liable under the terms of this Warranty for damages or problems caused by the use of any options or consumables other than those supplied by AVD Computer Services.
This Warranty does not affect the rights of the Consumer, or the obligations of the seller, under any statute.
Limited liability for Software media

If you discover physical defects in the User Guides, or on the software disks, AVD Computer Services Ltd will replace the guide or disks at no charge to you, provided you return the items during the 60 day period following your purchase. All implied warranties on the guides or disks, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to 60 days from the date of the original purchase. Even though AVD have tested the software and reviewed the documentation, AVD makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to software, its quality, performance, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. As such the software is supplied as is, and you the purchaser are assuming the entire risk as to its performance and quality. In no circumstances will AVD Computer Services be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any defect in the software or documentation even if advised of the possibility of such damages
Copy Protection

Program and Print driver software and media are not copy protected. You may make back up copies for your own use. The programs themselves are protected by the copyright laws pertaining to Computer Software. It is illegal to make copies of these disks without written consent of AVD Computer Services Ltd or the authors. In particular is illegal to give a copy of any of the programs or a spare set of disks to any other person

Product Warranty Table

All SEIKO Precision Printers come with a 12 month Return to Dealer WARRANTY. All Dot Matrix printers can be upgraded to 12, 24 or 36 month On-Site Warranty as per the following table. This service is only available on the UK mainland. A condition of this service is that products must be registered, and the OSW paid for, at the time of purchase of the product. Failure to Register may invalidate your entitlement. This service is based on an 8 working hour call out. Please telephone AVD Computer Services Ltd on 0118 988 7300 to request a call out. Please note that this is NOT on site MAINTENANCE. Any calls deemed by the visiting Engineer to be software or driver related, Consumable issues, or other items outside the scope of the Warranty terms will be charged for by the Maintenance Company.
If you have not paid an additional fee for the OSW then you have a 12 month Return to Dealer Warranty, and any product should in the first instance be returned to your point of purchase. Dealers should carry out first line inspection and verification, in the event that they are unable to rectify the problem the item should be returned to the Distributor. The Distributor will inspect the goods and carry out second line repairs and fault analysis. If the Distributor is incapable of carrying out the Repair, then only in the last instance should the goods be returned to AVD Computer Services Ltd.
