SEIKO Precision is pleased to announce a new, low cost desktop colour laser printer, the OP-1500C Colour Printing System. This is SEIKO's first venture into the desktop colour printer market with a product under our own brand name. The OP-1500C incorporates an advanced, next generation Fiery® X2e print controller from EFI and next generation Colour Laser engine. Also available as a Network Printer, the OP-1500CN comes complete with 48MB RAM, Postscript Level III, 10/100Mbs Ethernet, and Hard Disk options. The OP-1500CFN has all the features of the OP-1500CN plus a total of 80MB RAM, and Third Paper Bin.

Ideally suited for the business user that wants to add colour to their everyday documents whether it is proposals, presentations, or newsletters....The OP-1500Colour Delivers. The combination of SEIKO's high-performance print engine and EFI's next generation Fiery® controller enables the OP-1500C to produce true contone quality 600x600 dpi resolution with print speeds of 3 ppm in colour and 15 ppm monochrome. It offers flexible media sizes and prints on letter, legal*, A4, B5, and executive sizes as well as supporting envelopes, postcards, and transparencies through the manual feed tray. The OP-1500 Colour features EFI's RIP-White Print™ & Continuous Print™ technology. RIP-While-Print functionality provides increased throughput on multi-page documents and multiple jobs by enabling the OP-1500C to process and print pages simultaneously. Continuous Print™ allows the printer to generate faster output by eliminating the need for the print engine to cycle down between pages or jobs. The OP-1500C has network support for all popular networks and platforms running most major operating systems, including Novel NetWare, Windows NT V 3.51 and 4.0, 95, 3.1, UNIX and MAC v7.5x and 7.6x systems. Protocol support includes IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, AppleTalk and Ethernet. The OP-1500C provides built in network printer utilities for remote management via the Internet or company intranet. It provides flexibility for corporate workgroup printing environments by enabling the network administrators the ability to access and control a variety of printing functions - such as job tracking, job reprinting, prioritising jobs, and deleting jobs.
