A4 Models CH-5504 were normally shipped with 6 or 10MB memory
(2MB soldered + either four or eight 1MB SIMM's)
A3 Models CH-5514 were normally supplied with 10 or 18MB memory
(2MB soldered + eight 1MB SIMM's) or (2MB soldered + four 4MB SIMM's)
These models can be upgraded to a maximum of 34MB but must be applied in sets of four. These SIMM's should be 30 Pin SIMM's having a speed no slower than 70ns.
- Remove the PSF controller board from the Printer.
- SIMM slots are arranged in 2 banks, Bank C & Bank D.
- Fill Bank C first then fill Bank D or leave Bank D empty
- All four SIMM's in a bank must be of the same type and speed (1MB or 4MB). You can put different types of SIMM's in each bank but if you choose to use four 4MB SIMM's these should be placed in Bank C
- Set the jumpers in the proper position on J901 through J904 (PS model only) and H1 and H2. If your model is a PSX model do not change jumpers J901 through J904.

Adding Memory to the CH-6100 series Printers (30 Pin SIMM's)
A4 Models CH-6100 were normally shipped with 8MB memory
(Two 4MB SIMM's)
These models can be upgraded to a maximum of 40MB using 4MB SIMM's. These SIMM's should be 30 Pin SIMM's having a speed no slower than 70ns.
- Remove the PSF controller board from the Printer.
- There are 10 SIMM slots numbered from GM1 to GM10 (GM1&GM2 are populated).
- Fill in ascending order ie GM3 to GM10.
There are no dip switches to set and the additional memory should be recognised when switching the power back on.
Adding Memory to the CH-800 series Printers (72 Pin SIMM's)
A4 Models CH-820 or 7204 or 7104 or 620 were normally shipped with 12MB memory
(8MB soldered + one 4MB SIMM)
A3 Models CH-830 or 7214 or 630 were normally supplied with 24MB memory
(8MB soldered + one 16MB SIMM)
A3 Superwide Models CH-835 or 7414 were normally supplied with 28MB memory
(8MB soldered + one 4MB SIMM + one 16MB SIMM)
These models can be upgraded to a maximum of 136MB. These SIMM's should be 72 Pin SIMM's having a speed no slower than 70ns.
- Remove the PSF controller board from the Printer.
- SIMM slots are numbered from 1 through to 8.
- Fill Slot 1 to 8 in ascending order using up to two 4MB SIMM's and the remainder with 16MB SIMM's
- Dependant upon the number of 4MB SIMM@s fitted set the two-pin jumper in the proper position on JP2 as follows
If there are no 4MB SIMM's fitted leave both sets of jumpers open. If there is one 4MB SIMM place jumper over one set of pins.

Adding Memory to the CH-7000 series Printers (30 Pin SIMM's)
A4 Models CH-7104 or 7204 were normally shipped with 16MB memory
(8MB soldered + eight 1MB SIMM's)
A3 Models CH-7114 or 7214 were normally shipped with 24MB memory
(8MB soldered + four 4MB SIMM's)
Both models can be upgraded to a maximum of 136MB but must be applied in sets of four. These SIMM's should be 3O Pin Apple MAC type SIMM's having a speed no slower than 70ns.
- Remove the PSF controller board from the Printer.
- SIMM slots are numbered from 1 through to 8. The slots numbered 1 to 4 make up Bank A, and surprise surprise 5 through to 8 make up Bank B
- Fill Bank A first then fill Bank B or leave Bank B empty
- All four SIMM's must be of the same type and speed (1MB, 4MB or 16MB). You can put different types of SIMM's in each bank
- Set the two-pin jumper in the proper position on JP2 and JP3 as follows
JP2 refers to Bank A JP3 refers to Bank B
